- Web summary: Hijazlane is committed to protecting children. We will not transport unaccompanied minors without written guardian consent; our drivers receive child‑safeguarding training and any concerns or incidents are reported to the appropriate authorities.
- Full (operational): Purpose: To protect the safety, welfare and dignity of children (anyone under 18) who use our services. Scope: All vehicles, drivers, dispatch staff, contractors and operational partners. Key policy points:
- Zero tolerance: We do not tolerate abuse, neglect or exploitation. All employees, drivers and partners must comply with this policy.
- Unaccompanied minors: Children under 16 will not be transported as unaccompanied passengers unless written consent from a legal guardian and an arranged chaperone are provided. For passengers aged 16–17 who wish to travel alone, written guardian permission and identity verification are required.
- Booking documentation: For bookings involving minors, we record guardian contact details, emergency contacts, chaperone name (if applicable) and written consent. Copies of required documents are stored securely in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Vetting & training: Staff and drivers who interact with children will undergo background checks and child‑safeguarding training, including how to recognize and report signs of abuse.
- During transport: Ensure minors are accompanied by a guardian/chaperone at pick‑up and drop‑off. Never leave a child unattended in a vehicle. Use child restraints as required by local law and standards.
- Reporting incidents: Any concern, suspicion or incident must be reported immediately to the company’s safety manager and, where appropriate, to local authorities. All reports and follow‑up actions are documented.
- Confidentiality & support: Maintain confidentiality for alleged victims and offer practical support (contact family, arrange medical assistance) while following authorities’ guidance.
- Review & audit: This policy will be reviewed at least annually and after any major incident. Passenger/guardian responsibilities: Provide accurate booking information, request child seats if needed, and disclose any special needs in advance.
